(FLP Opinion) - I don't think it's a leap to suggest that political correctness may eventually do us in. The latest example of this insanity is occurring as we speak.

Yesterday afternoon, a muslim man shot up a military base in Texas, killing 13 and wounding 30+. He had written on an internet blog about the insanity of our foreign policy, how muslims should stand up to the aggressors and compared suicide bombers to a soildier who falls on a grenade to save his comrades. Oh, and he was screaming Allahu Akbar (God is great) as he shot people.

Let's review:

• Muslim man
• Killed 13 people in cold blood
• Writings sympathetic to jihadist
• Shouted a common terrorist refrain during the killings

You'd have to be either a complete moron or intellectually dishonest to not consider terrorism as a primary impetus for this act.

I'm sure the MSM will eventually come around - the evidence is just too overwhelming. But they'll be pulled kicking and screaming to the truth.

(FLP Opinion) Let me get this straight, Obama is swept into office last year because voters are disgusted with George W. Bush and Republicans in general.

Two Republicans win big governorships last night and it has nothing to do with Obama, his policies or the Democrat Congress. No, they only won because the Democrats put forth flawed candidates.

Convenient, huh? 

Let me offer a different assessment. Republicans and independent voters are scared to death of Obama, his policies and the Democrat Congress. The fact that Bob McDonnell and the GOP carried Virginia by 18 points is stunning, but they also swept every other statewide election, and did so in a state that was solidly in Obama's column just 12 months ago.

In New Jersey, the story may be even more encouraging. The Republican challenger Chris Christie beat the incumbent Democrat John Corzine by 4.5 points. While that may not sound like much when you compare it Virginia, it's an astonishing accomplishment when you consider two things: 1) New Jersey is as solidly blue as any state in the northeast, and 2) Christie won even though there was a third-party candidate in the race that most experts agreed would pull more votes from him than Corzine.

Needless to say, there were an awful lot of Blue Dog Democrats who awoke this morning to a grim new reality. The conservative movement is clearly on the ascension and a vote with Mumbles Pelosi is a death sentence for their re-election hopes.

It looks like there's a big conservative freight train coming down the tracks and it's pointed right at the Capitol Building.

Get on-board, get out of the way or get run over.

(FLP Opinion) - Though it may sound trite and over-used, it's absolutely true in my opinion. If you vote for Democrats in 2009, you're voting for Socialists (or worse).

I'll clarify: While not all Democrats are Socialists, the leaders of the party most certainly are and the leadership drives the agenda. The passing of the Stimulus and Cap & Trade legislation proves the point that the minions fall in line behind their radical leadership.

I've always found it disturbing that Democrats have to lie about their core beliefs to get elected. They know those beliefs will be deemed too extreme by the general public so they mislead to game the system.

If Obama had been honest with the American public about how he was actually going govern (spending, deficits, health care), he would have never been elected to office. Of course the Democrats knew this, so with the help of a sycophantic media, they concocted a catchy slogan and hid their real agenda from the public. In nine short months, the public has quickly determined there is no hope, and they don't want the change. 

Like it or not, we are in the throes of a socialist revolution in the United States of America. It is not yet successful, but the Democratic Machine (politicians, mainstream media, unions, etc.) is working hard to make it so.

It's time Conservatives got behind a strong, back-to-basics, cohesive message and started fighting back. From where I sit, explaining to the American public how Democrats have betrayed this nation is a very good place to start. The time for playing nice and compromise has passed, we need to crush them for the sake of the country.

After all, these scoundrels... SOLD US OUT!
