Boehner Willing To Look At Amending 14th Amendment

Anchor babies are creating a huge problem in this country. Sounds like Boehner is willing to consider making changes.

Boner looks like George Hamilton's tanning chamber companion.

Yep time to amend, secure the borders, stop the anchor babies and then deal with the
immigration issue...

The illegals can go through the same process all others do to become citizens of the USA.

Don't give an inch, go by the rules and abide by the law...

First and formost we must SECURE the borders first......

GOP needs to soft peddle this between now and the election. Timing is bad. Why risk the November election on just one issue? They could lose more votes than they gain. The media will be relentless in keeping this on the front page and generating negative press for the GOP.
Instead, the GOP needs to focus on the economy and jobs.

This is precisely what the GOP should NOT do. Dems will pound the issue of illegal immigration reform [i.e. amnesty], freedom for all, etc., with or without the GOP letting go of it for the time being. It's a given. They have no other cards to play. Their only hope is to get the Latinos to the voting booths this Fall.

People expect the GOP to continue to oppose the illegal immigration in the most stringent ways. Jobs, economy and the illegal immigration go hand in hand as...Boehner and the tanning booth.
These three issues will win the House for the GOP this Fall. If they falter on the immigration grounds, they will only lose votes. Stop pandering to the imaginary electorate. Go after the real voters!!!

Anyone know what color shoe polish Boehner uses on his face? I love that tone, perfect for a pair of dress shoes I have.

@Dmitry: If the GOP pursues your strategy, I hope it works. My gut feeling is that it is risky and that they could backfire.
Remember who introduced this in the first place: Lindsey Graham (the principled mental giant who voted to confirm Kagen ... hardly the poster boy for conservative politics). He should have kept his mouth shut and waited until after the election. Now that it is out in the open, I guess the GOP will have to take a stand.

That's exactly what I mean, Bruce. The door has been opened. You can't just stand in the doorway any more The immigration issue will be pounded by the Dems and the press ad nauseum, 'cause they ain't got notin' else to bet. Might as well start striking preventively. It's time for the pie charts!
