Nancy Pelosi - Speaker of the House
I'm not sure if contemptible is a strong enough word to describe Nancy Pelosi, but it serves its purpose. She has been nothing short a legislative locomotive since Democrats increased their majorities in the House in November 2008. And because she has a fawning press, she has been able to use some of the most underhanded, despicable tactics the office has ever seen to insure she got the votes she needed to pass her Republic damaging legislation.
Last week, she was asked her thoughts about the Ground Zero Mosque and offered this not-so-veiled threat:
"There is no question there is a concerted effort to make this a political issue by some. And I join those who have called for looking into how is this opposition to the mosque being funded. How is this being ginned up that here we are talking about Treasure Island, something we’ve been working on for decades, something of great interest to our community as we go forward to an election about the future of our country and two of the first three questions are about a zoning issue in New York City."
So this leftist hack wants to hold some sort of investigation as to why people are against the mosque and how they are funded. Considering the fact that polls show 60% - 70% of the public is against the mosque being built at Ground Zero, it's going to be a mighty big "looking into".
We can only hope that the public will come to their senses in November 2010 and 2012. Pelosi will be difficult to unseat, but John Dennis is a strong Republican candidate and will give it his best shot. Let's face it, stranger things have happened.
I'm not sure there has ever been an American politician more deserving of an electoral beating than Queen Nancy. Her latest remarks further prove that point.
For that and millions of additional reasons that I didn't mention, Nancy Pelosi is the FL Pundit Liberal Idiot of the Week.

How about looking at the last significant conflict between the U.S. government and a religion. The Church of Latter Day Saints was temporarily DISSOLVED, more than a thousand members arrested, millions of dollars worth of property seized because the Church refused to disallow polygamy.
I say the same should happen to any Islamic organization that does not disallow Polygamy, Honor killing, Domestic violence against women and death sentences for all of the following: Apostasy, Proselytizing, Non-marital sex and Homosexuality.
It IS AMERICAN, it is our history and it has lead to the subjugation of religious law to secular law in the LDS as it should in Islam.

You could pick Nancy as Liberal Idiot of the week every week. She is the Queen of the Idiots.
She "joins those who have called" for investigating the funding of this group of citizens? And who exactly are "those" Nancy? Let's hear from them by all means.
This is like Obama and his infamous "there are those who say..." lines. "There are those who say puppies shouldn't be fed every day, but I say we can do better!". These people are no different than any socialist or communist government we've seen in the past. They must create an unpopular and vulgar enemy who they can blame everything on. And while they force someone on the opposing side of their position to defend themselves from slurs and lies, they shuffle their agendas through. A joke of a news media that hides every ugly blemish is the cherry on top.
