Big Sis Blocks Access To Sites With "Controversial Opinion"
Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at 4:00PM The tyrannical Obama regime continues its march on freedom and liberty. This from CBS News.
The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is blocking certain websites from the federal agency's computers, including halting access by staffers to any Internet pages that contain a "controversial opinion," according to an internal email obtained byCBS News.
The email was sent to all TSA employees from the Office of Information Technology on Friday afternoon.
It states that as of July 1, TSA employees will no longer be allowed to access five categories of websites that have been deemed "inappropriate for government access."
The categories include:
• Chat/Messaging
• Controversial opinion
• Criminal activity
• Extreme violence (including cartoon violence) and gruesome content
• Gaming
The email does not specify how the TSA will determine if a website expresses a "controversial opinion."
There is also no explanation as to why controversial opinions are being blocked, although the email stated that some of the restricted websites violate the Employee Responsibilities and Conduct policy.
The TSA did not return calls seeking comment by publication time.

Looks like you're out of luck Pundit. I've got to think you'll be one of the first sites blocked! That should be a source of pride!
A little here a little there and before you know it, Zippy has all the control over the Press,
Media and Internet..Somebody said he wasn't an All American Guy..Pundit you better start
praising President Zippy 24/7 or you could be wearing a number across your chest and
Obozo's Hoax and Chains attached to your feet...Me thinks Zippy's belt don't go through all
his loops and his bell stopped ringing at Hhhhhaaavvaard...
Let me guess what Napolitano and Obama's definition of controversial web site is......any site that publishes the Declaration of Independence?
Hat tip to Rush Limbaugh ... Did'ya notice that Porn Sites weren't on the list!?
I guess it is hard to define porn, but not so hard to define "controversial opinion".
The Coast Guard did the same thing 5 years ago, went too far and had to rescind some of it. That was during Bush's tenure so I am not sure I can blame this one on Obama and his minions. I think it is just folks having a knee-jerk reaction and not thinking it through. They have already backed off of it somewhat.
Bruce, as for porn, I would put a C note down that it was already prohibited so no need to address it.
