Understanding the Declaration of Independence
Sunday, July 4, 2010 at 1:33PM If you have kids or grandkids who are old enough to understand history and government, I'd encourage you to have them watch this video on the Declaration of Independence. Based on the Leno video I posted earlier, it couldn't hurt!

Chuck: Thanks so much for posting this video. I am going to share it with my children and request that they take the time to view it in celebration of this important holiday.
If only Elena Kagen had the same viewpoint of the importance of this document, but clearly based upon her testimony, she deems it to be irrelevant and that her future decisions are only bound by the U.S. Constitution. She went so far as to disavow the premise of "unalienable rights" which was the primary basis for our independence in the first place.

Bruce i share your values and understand your need to relate to your children the
importance of our Constitution...I have done the same with my children and today as
ever Independence day my grandchildren and myself get together and celebrate where
we came from and who got us to where we are today...I feel this is important for us to
relize who we are and what each roll we must play in America to further the dream....
Thank you for sharing and thank you Chuck for all you do...God bless to both..
