People are not taking this politically correct BS laying down, nor should they. This is a disgrace.

It's tacky and insensitive and disrespectful. I don't know anyone who died in the attacks, but I still cry for those lost and this really is like a slap in the face (I can't imagine how 9/11 families feel).
They can go somewhere else and they need to.
The guy from Egypt had the most impactful words for me.

It's salt in a very still raw wound.

This is an outrage. One of the ways the Koran tell muslims to spread their faith is by building a mosque on the sight of a conquest. I think this would fit that bill in their sick, twisted eyes.

we need to have our own 9/11 on this mosque, after it is built.

The "Framers" of our Constitution never in their wildest dreams anticipated religion in this regard when they wrote the First Amendment ("Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;").
Any Constitutional scholars out there? Would the Constitution protect a religion if they practiced human sacrifice?

I may be one of the few who think the constitution needs to be updated. Unfortunetly, I wouldn't trust the government on such an important decision.
