Cultural Recommendation (23)

Not sure why it took me 23 renditions of this series to add one of my all-time favorite live performances, but it did. Following is Warren Haynes playing with The Dave Mathews Band in front of a Central Park crowd of nearly one million back in 2005. The song is Cortez the Killer, originally performed by Neal Young and Warren Haynes flat wears it out on guitar. Of note, when Haynes is coming to the end of his second solo the camera angle is from behind the drummer and rising and you can see Dave Mathews mouth to the drummer "he's bad." If you weren't a Warren Haynes fan before, you will be shortly.
