Liberal Idiot Of The Week

John Morton - U.S. Immigration & Customs Enforcement

John Morton, ICELiberals are such easy targets. Virtually everything they do is wrong and often stupid beyond words. The latest example of this - and there are many - comes from John Morton, the assistant secretary of homeland security for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

What did Morton do? Well, he said his agency will not necessarily process illegal immigrants referred to them by Arizona authorities. In other words, we don't like your law and we're not going to deport anyone you pick up, whether they are illegal or not. Morton made the comments during a meeting on Wednesday with the editorial board of the Chicago Tribune.

Here is more detail from Fox News:

The law, which criminalizes being in the state illegally and requires authorities to check suspects for immigration status, is not "good government," Morton said.

"I don't think the Arizona law, or laws like it, are the solution," Morton told the newspaper.

The best way to reduce illegal immigration is through a comprehensive federal approach, he said, and not a patchwork of state laws.

The law, which criminalizes being in the state illegally and requires authorities to check suspects for immigration status, is not "good government," Morton said.

In response to Morton's comments, DHS officials said President Obama has ordered the Department of Justice to examine the civil rights and other implications of the law.

"That review will inform the government's actions going forward," DHS spokesman Matt Chandler told Fox News on Friday.

Fox News legal analyst Judge Andrew Napolitano said ICE is not obligated to process illegal immigrants referred to them by Arizona authorities.

"ICE has the legal discretion to accept or not to accept persons delivered to it by non-federal personnel," Napolitano said. "It also has the discretion to deport or not to deport persons delivered to it by any government agents, even its own."

So this dolt, through his affiliation with the Obama administration, says they may just release illegal aliens that are delivered to them by Arizona officials. Who on earth thinks this is a good idea?

Idiot liberals, that's who.

Republican Jeff Sessions was none to happy when informed about Morton's comments, suggesting that if he can't fulfill the duties of the office, he should resign.

Don't hold your breath.

For this and so much more, John Morton is our LIOTW.

" law, which criminalizes being in the state illegally "

Last time I checked, illegal means against the law. Criminals are those who break the law. So numbnuts, ILLEGAL aliens are already CRIMINALS. Arizona isn't making them that way.

Please get your diaper changed. You smell like you're full of crap.

Our country has been overtaken by a group of lawless thugs. They view everything in terms of power, and they see illegal aliens as a conduit to more power through comprehensive immigration reform, and the voting rights such legislation would bestow on on those illegals.

I'll pay the cab fare to send this idiot on a one-way trip to Juarez. Don't people in Government take an oath? I gues that doesn't mean anything either. Like when Obama starts out a statement by saying "Let me be clear....." step back because a typhoon of fecal matter is about to fly. Why do we even bother listening?

Then what the @(# do we need ICE for? Disband them, fire the people, take the money going to these posers and give it to the states that WILL enforce our borders.

Well, if ICE / DHS won't handle it, I suppose they could borrow the catapult from Monte Python's - In Search of the Holy Grail, and launch them back across the border. To preclude injuries, the soon to be ejected, would be issued surplus T-10 Parachutes

I think Nancy Pelosi has a pole vault and some kind of trencher or earthmover that might be available.

Black is white , up is down, out is in.

How the hell does an agency somehow get a policy decision that says it doesn't need to fulfill its primary duty. F$%&ing unbelievable. I am simply gobsmacked and without words.
