More Proof of the Nanny State

This is just sad. What next? Are we going to fight the Chinese and Russians with discarded catheters paid for by Medicare?:

Unless we rid ourselves of leftists, we are essentially screwed. They will just keep coming at us with their wacky ideas. Every time they come to power, like now, they strip more of the Constitution bare. Communists and a Democratic Republic can't coexist. One will eventually disappear.

Whether you agree with Bush about invading Iraq and Afghanistan or not, the cost of these wars is not the cause of the US fiscal woes. That's like blaming your foreclosure on the cost of your satellite dish. Don't let liberals use that line, it's just a defense mechanism to deflect the conversation away from government spending. In the long run, increasing government spending and taxes will reduce disposable income, savings, and economic growth. Thank your local Congress-person by voting them out this fall (except Paul Ryan and a few others).

I concur Herb. The Left must be stopped and anyone who even considers siding with them should go as well. We need Paul Ryan types through and through.

If the defense budget keeps getting hit, we're all doomed. I'm sure Obama will fix it though. He's good like that.

The entitlement percentage growth is no surprise given the baby boomer wave that will be with us for almost a generation. Two solutions ... cut the entitlements with either means testing or delayed retirement benefits, OR raise the GDP! The recent increases are exaggerated due to the recession where GDP dropped sidnificantly, but entitlements (of course) did not.

I hope Pundit does not mind if I take this opportunity to encourage every one to send a check to Paul Ryan. $5, $10, $25, whatever you can afford. Hell if you're rich like GeorgiaDawg, send a couple thousand. Let's not let him slip by this chance to save our country.
Re-elected in 2010, President in 2012.
