Politico: Most Transparent White House Ever?

The Obama administration was apparently not enamored with the Gay Rights protesters that handcuffed themselves to the gate that surround the White House. In fact, they took the very unusual move of banning reporters from the public area. This from Politico:

Police chased reporters away from the White House and closed Lafayette Park today in response to a gay rights protest in which several service members in full uniform handcuffed themselves to the White House gate to protest "Don't Ask, Don't Tell."

People who have covered the White House for years tell me that's an extremely unusual thing to do in an area that regularly features protests.

A reporter can be seen in the YouTube video above calling the move "outrageous" and "ridiculous."

Here is the video from the event:

Just more proof that the Left is about anything but transparency. What a bunch of hypocrites.

This summer just might get very interesting for several reasons....The more the public
becomes critical of Obamacare and whatever happens on Crap and Tax the more
they will protest and become outspoken....I feel deep inside this might give Obama
and his administration the uneasy feeling to do something obnoxious by which to
find a reason to put the states under a state of emergency and declare marshal
law.......Obama knows he can't survive an election in november without getting the
House and the Senate in Republican hands and becoming a lameduck President...

I may be just getting a little frenzy and paranoid, but can't see Obama taking this with
a smile on his face.....

This is beautiful ! Controlling the media. I wonder if anyone in the media realizes that being banned from a stupid news story, could have made them part of the biggest news story of the year?

Wouldn't want the public to see what side of the fence the real hateful, vicious protesters hail from. That just wouldn't fit the storyline they've built that the militia-crazed Right is where the dangerous fringe elements in our society are coming from.

Given that I work only 2 blocks from PA Ave, I'm stunned that a command to clear PA Avenue and the park over protesting boggles my mind. It gets a scary when you begin to feel you can't even protest in our own nation's capital. The criticisim tide seems to be rolling in on Obama and as suspected, it's getting too deep for him and he's w/out the ability to handle what is coming his way. If Bush had done anything like this, the MSM would have been all over it like flies on stink. I rarely ever admit to hating anyone, but Obama doesn't make it easy not to. He's not a good guy, IMO.

Good insight TLW. I totally agree that Bush could not have gotten away with this. It's a full-frontal assault on both the press and the public. I just hope the press gets aggravated enough to start playing hardball with this rank amateur.

How's it feel to be crossed by the candidate you loved in 2008? At least with Bush you knew where he stood, agree with him or not. The best predicter of Obama's actions is the opposite of what he says.

Suppression of the press is just one part the Socialism blueprint.
