Things You Won't Hear From Liberals

(FLP Opinion by JAR) - The recent interview President Obama gave on Fox News was a sterling example of the fact that liberals hate to be challenged and despise having their ideas held up to scrutiny. Perhaps it’s because their ideas are so illogical they simply don’t hold up to questions based on logic and reason, or because they’re such brilliant, nuanced visionaries that explanations of their policies and beliefs are beneath them. They much prefer blind obedience.

With that being said, I thought I’d make up a list of questions and the answers liberals would give if they were being honest - which is rarely:

Q: How much government spending, as a percent of GDP, is too much?

A: There’s no limit on the wonderful things government can do for the people, so there should be no limit on spending.

Q: At what levels does the national debt become a concern?

A: It’s not a concern unless polls suggest we need to treat it as one and an election looms.

Q: Why don’t you consult small business owners about policies which would encourage jobs and hiring?

A: If it doesn’t make more people dependent on government and give us opportunities for graft, we’re not interested.

Q: How is it that you champion causes to improve the plight of the poor and disadvantaged while opposing school choice, even in a case when it’s proven to be successful and superior to public schools such as in Washington DC?

A: We get too much money at election time and too many votes from the NEA, and besides the greater good is served by keeping more funding in the public school system because all their problems are simply the result of not having enough money.

Q: How do you defend your thirst for ever higher tax rates, even in cases where it may reduce tax revenue such as with capital gains?

A: Fairness and equality of outcomes are more important, and besides the elite governing class should be the wealthiest segment of society so knocking down selfish, evil business people who believe in foolish things such as self reliance serves the greater good.

Q: When it comes to government solutions to societal or economic problems, under what circumstances would you recommend policy that did not include more government and increased government spending?

A: I can’t think of any.

Based on President Obama’s Fox interview and his shaky performance, we’ll have less and less chance to actually see a liberal politician take some difficult questions.

But we can dream.

Here is one thing you won't hear from a Liberal;

Barnaree Funk said the Barack Obama has taken up Tennis and is doing very well...
The reason he is doing so well is that, before he plays a game on the court, Nancy
Pelosi takes out his balls and kisses them...Set, Snatch and Game.....

Here's another: "We have to stay within the bounds of the Constitution."

Good call Doug. I double check the body, but apparently not always the title.
