Special Message To The FL Pundit Audience

(FLP Opinion) - As many of you know, the FL Pundit site is a mix of political opinion, satire and fantastic commentary from our visitors. In the last few days, I've been going back and forth on Facebook with a hoity liberal who has called both me and the site racist. I might have ignored such a slight, but a great many Facebook friends were able to view these accusations.
So, in the face of this slanderous assertion, I'd like to go on record to state firmly that this site does not promote or condone racism. It also doesn't support political correctness. This site was built on edgy political humor and opinion. It is BECAUSE I am not a racist that I do not shy away from taking on anyone.
I certainly realize that a liberal Democrat charging a conservative with racism is as common as a summer rain shower in Florida, but I take strong offense to such a charge and want to firmly state that I welcome all races, creeds and colors to the conservative movement.
Any suggestion to the contrary is incorrect and slanderous. I appreciate your continued support of FL Pundit and welcome your thoughts.

What a shock Pundit. A liberal slandering a conservative by calling them racist. I've been coming to this site for a long time now and take offense to that charge myself.
I stand behind you 1000%.
Outrageous, but wholly expected. You must be doing something right Pundit, you've got them coming after you now. Keep coming with the edgy stuff, we know your heart is in the right place. To suggest otherwise is as you said, slanderous.
Don't be surprised Pundit, you're tweaking these idiots. This is how they react. They don't like it when a conservative is getting the better of them. Keep you head up. If I thought this site was racist, I surely wouldn't spend an minute of my time on it.
Is it edgy and politically incorrect? Oh, yeah. Is it racist? Please.
I think many of those who claim that someone (or some website) is racist is mistaking racism for an honest difference of political opinion and cannot muster an argument to refute an opinion they disagree with.
If I don't agree with Nancy Pelosi, then I'm a sexist? No ... I have a clear difference opinion with Madam Speaker! It has nothing to do with her sex. It has to do with her agenda, her behavior, her holier than thou attitude when it comes to her misuse of Air Force jets, her failure to adhere to her own pledges of "draining the swamp", etc. etc.
Same is true when I disagree with President Obama. I won't bother enumerating all the areas that I and most of the other posters disagree on regarding his administration, and his agenda. Sure, we probably go overboard with slurs on his name (Obamachev is my favorite), but these are meant to amplify our positions, and are no different than the liberal labels used on his predecessor.
Any Democrat or liberal that claims Republicans, LIbertarians, or conservatives of racism should take a quick history course and compare the records of past stances of the two major parties (and their membership e.g. Robert "KKK" Byrd). People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.
Hey Pundit, don't let those liberals get under your skin. We know they are all a pain in the a**. I have been a fan since you started your blog and it has never occurred to me that anything racist has ever appeared. You have had Conservative blacks on you site, and that's a good thing. Don't let some liberal with his warped view of the world affect a great blog.
The MSM and the Liberals continues to promote and sell a hatred for all groups who have a conservative mindset,Tea Parties,Republicans or any person who will not fall in lockstep with
Obama and the Democrats,whereever or whoever she/he might be..They call us the most

Obama's policies...I give the President credit for the good things and I give him my opinion for

It was only a matter time Pundit. These scum use the word racist like conservatives use the word "the". It's not well considered before throwing it out because it's used as a weapon. Keep kicking them in the teeth. They've earned every lost tooth.

I saw this exchange on Facebook and had frankly never been to this blog in my life until today. The liberal of which you speak came off as certifiably insane. You came off as calm, reasoned and sensible. Don't sweat it. He did nothing but make a complete jackass of himself.

Thoughtful, naunced, ivy-league educated liberals have determined that conservative = racist. This logic holds up as well as wet tissue paper. Mud puddles are deeper than this brain-dead assertion.
Which side killed choice in DC schools? Which side has a Klan wizard in Congress? Has anyone noticed that 40% of abortions in this country are done on black mothers? Which side most recently put people of color on the Supreme Court? Sec of State? Sec of Defense?
The fact is what unites conservatives and tea party types are 3 simple principles of governance:
1) low taxes
2) limited government
3) fiscal responsibility
I don't care if you're man or woman, black or white, have an ear growing out of your forehead, or sleep with farm animals. If you run for office on these 3 things and people actually believe you mean it, you'll get the conservative vote. Roughly 60% of the electorate identifies itself as somewhat conservative.
So FL Pundit, take comfort in the fact that your "friend" is lashing out because his world view is being revealed as a farce. Our elite governing class, our institutions, and the media have failed this country and few people believe them any more. The left got their dream, Obama and big majorities in the House and Senate. But it's a national nightmare. Time for things to swing hard back to the principles on which this country was founded. You're leading the way, your friend is in denial.
Well stated Herb. To clarify, this clown was not my friend. I interacted with him through the post of a mutual friend. It's amazing how one can be so stunningly arrogant, yet so completely wrong at the same time. Clueless is as clueless does.

I've never commented, but I visit this site several times each week. I also happen to be a black conservative. You are definitely edgy, but in no way have I taken any of the stuff as racist. I'm sure liberals would suggest otherwise, but as far as I'm concerned your hands are clean. The fact that you have openly promoted black conservatives is also notable.
Just my two cents.
Labeling any opposing view as "racist" is the Liberals fall back position!
