Congressional Approval At Record Low 10%

(FLP Opinion) - The current iteration of the United States Congress has accomplished one feat that no Congress before them has ever achieved. They've recorded the lowest public approval rating in history with a whopping 10% of Americans saying Congress is doing a good (9%) or excellent (1%) job.
If it weren't for the true believing socialists giving them cover, their approval rating would likely be in the low single digits. Take away the true believers, and only a moron or wise guy would suggest this Congress has been anything but an epic failure.
Here is a brief sampling of what has made this Congress so unpopular:
- The overreaching on legislation like the Stimulus, Cap & Trade and Health Care
- Voting on bills before anyone has read them
- Running up huge travel and entertainment bills at tax payer expense
- Ramming through legislation that the public clearly doesn't want
- Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid
I could go on and on and on, but we all know what a despicable lot they are.
Let's hope the Independents remember that as well come November.

But looking on the bright side, so far they've failed to pass Cap-n-Trade, and Obamacare. Thank God the Dem's couldn't get their act together within their own party.
I'd certainly support a bill that limits congressional sessions to only December through March, and hope for continued nasty winters and holiday recesses that would further limit the damage that they could do.
Amen to that Bruce. That would solve a lot of problems and keep the wolves out of the hen house.
You get 10% just for breathing. It's like what I heard about the ACT, you get 7 points for signing your name. Can't get any lower.
I think they blew it on health care by waiting too long and not taking it up sooner. By the time they took it up people were starting to get wary of this bunch and they'd already expended a lot of political capital. If they went after it right after the inauguration they would have had a better chance. Thank goodness they didn't.
Is there really anything worse that a Congress dominated by liberal Democrats? Think about it. These people clearly put their own political interests ahead of the good of the country.
If the elected people in the House and Senate was in the private sector, they would fall under,
the hard to manage, low performers and sometime unskilled workers...All with low or no regard
for their attitude toward others..
As it is we just call them as we see them "DEMOCRATS."
People get the kind of government they deserve. While no one may want to admit to it, millions voted for these charlatans. No, I don't believe and/or trust in the inherent wisdom or integrity of the American people. Decline and fall.
