Looks Like The Teleprompter Went Down Again

(FLP Opinion) - Barrack Obama does not like Las Vegas. The city is suffering from high unemployment (13%) and is still recovering from a derogatory comment he made early last year.

So what to do? Well, if you're Vegas Hatin' Obama, you pile on with this little gem from earlier today:

"When times are tough, you tighten your belts," the president said. "You don't go buying a boat when you can barely pay your mortgage. You don't blow a bunch of cash on Vegas when you're trying to save for college."

Last February Obama had this to say about travel to Vegas:

"You can't go take that trip to Las Vegas or go down to the Super Bowl on taxpayers' dime."

These comments have not been well received by those with ties to Vegas, and they're letting their thoughts be known, including Senate Majority Leader Harry "The Undertaker" Reid:

"The President needs to lay off Las Vegas and stop making it the poster child for where people shouldn't be spending their money."

Republican Senator John "I Need A Hundy To Shut This Broad Up" Ensign had this to say:

"Las Vegas is suffering through one of the highest unemployment rates in the country, and we cannot afford for the President to bring us down any further."

GOP Congressman Dean Heller was also less than pleased:

"Nevada has one of the most distressed economies in the country, and the President has done little to focus on job creation over the past year. Discouraging people from coming to our state to make a political point adds insult to injury."

How about this from Democrat Congresswoman Shelly Berkley:

"Enough is enough! President Obama needs to stop picking on Las Vegas and he needs to let Americans decide for themselves how and where to spend their hard-earned vacation dollars."

And lastly, my favorite comment from Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman (I):

"I'll do everything I can to give him the boot. The President is a slow learner. Sometimes when he's not using his monitors and reading what he says, he doesn't think. And this is one of those times he didn't think, and he should straighten out the record because he's been here, he knows Las Vegas is a great place."

Is that embarrassing or what? He got called out by members of his own party and the Independent Mayor of Las Vegas just excoriated him. The funny thing is, he got killed the first time he said it, yet he still comes back for more. I think slow learner sums it up quite well.

Can't wait to hear what he says next.

How would Barry know about saving for college, didn't some oil shiek pay his tuition? Or is that sealed with all his other records?

He's already trying to reel this one back in. The Undertaker went after him trying to score points with the locals. Not going to work Harry, the damage has been done.

I love it. Maybe he'll start ripping on NYC and LA too. We need all the electoral votes we can get.

Be careful with that "went down again" comment. Bill Clinton will be wanting to get back in the White House.

Don't you just love it. If Bush had done this, the media knives would have been cutting him to bits. Obama, they'll gloss over it as a non-story.
