The Green Job Mirage

(FLP Opinion by JAR) - Manufacturing jobs in the United States have been on a steady decline for decades. In an effort to “turn this around”, Democrats are attempting to place more burdens on companies through pending environmental legislation that would make American manufacturing even less competitive.

This may sound bad to the feeble minded, but it’s actually good because it's going to lead to the creation of more “green jobs”! You know, those wonderful jobs that are going to help save the planet, but that only seem to exist in the minds of empty headed liberals.

Oddly enough, it appears that when these green jobs do start to appear in mass many will often require the same type of worker that the traditional manufacturing jobs they are replacing did - unskilled labor.

In short, these jobs will be fewer in number and by no means the panacea the Left claims they will be for the American worker. However, your smog count will be a tenth of a percent lower, so you’ve got that going for you!

In the end, Democrats have once again sided with far-left extremists to the determent of our country's economic interests, and its citizens financial stability.

I know, I know... what a shock.

More of the same. Lie to get to your end goal. These people do not have our best interests at heart, hey?

I have the answer. We'll pay people to ride exercise bikes that are hooked up to the electric grid. Solves unemployment problem, saves environment, adds energy capacity without burning coal or going nucleur, and lowers health care costs by improving people's health.
