Apple Unveils Next Generation Device Called iPad

Apple today unveiled a next generation device it is calling the iPad (think cross between an iPhone and laptop). It will be available in stores in the next six weeks and prices will start at $499 - much lower than many experts had speculated. The iPad has a 9.7 inch screen, is a half inch thick and has a battery life of ten hours, which is notable if true.

Bottom-line, the iPad will sell millions. Following is video of Steve Jobs unveiling the device today in San Francisco:

Even as slick as the iPad is, it still can't do anything about the content of the NYTimes.
