Looks Like Obama Didn't Get The Message... Oh Goody!

(FLP Pundit) - Nearly a full week removed from the Scott Brown victory in Massachusetts, one thing has become clear - Barrack Obama will not be moving to the political center. In fact, by all indications from the Sunday talk shows, he will remain on the far-left fringes and continue pushing for legislation that the country has indicated through polls and recent elections it has no interest in seeing passed.
Another clear sign of Obama's intention to continue pushing a socialist agenda is the hiring of his former campaign manager David Plouffe. In a Sunday Washington Post editorial, Plouffe outlined a going-forward strategy that was devoid of any course correction, but instead focused on continuing to fight for a liberal agenda that the public has rejected.
Unlike the more pragmatic Bill Clinton who made a swift move to the center after the disastrous 1994 mid-terms that saw Republicans take control of Congress, the ideologue Obama seems far more intent on passing signature legislation at the possible expense of both his re-election and that of his fellow Democrats.
This foolish refusal to listen to the will of the people will virtually assure that Democrats will be decimated in the mid-terms, not to mention the Democrat caucus members who will decide to flock to the GOP before taking a sure electoral loss. While this outcome would certainly be good news for conservatives and the GOP, it would be very bad news if Obama were somehow successful in getting any of this leftist dreck passed before he and his minions are shown the door.
That being said, it is critical that conservatives remain engaged and focused on the battle at hand. Complacency is not an option if we hope to rid ourselves of these leftist hucksters.

This is really what I hoped he would do. The last thing we need is for him to come to the center and win back some of those independents. The level of arrogance on display is frankly stunning.
This is like another early Christmas. I was convinced he would be smart enough to chart a new course. Thank the Lord Democrats always prove me wrong.
This guy is too much a fool to change direction. We might be screwed otherwise.
I agree with JoPa. His "fight fight fight" speech over the weekend appears to confirm that he is not about to steer to the right.
What worries me more now is the commentary from Dick Morris that congress may not be giving up on "tactics" to push through health care ( http://newsmax.com/Headline/pelosi-reid-healthcare-obama/2010/01/24/id/347820 ). Hopefully there are enough free-thinking moderate and conservative congressional democrats to thwart this effort.
Obama would gladly toss away his chance to get re-elected if he could push across his
Obamacare with the public option, Cap N Trade, Card Check and a few more of his socialist programs...Please don't think that he has given up and will move to the center, he is most
certain now to push his far left secular progressive agenda before November 2010......
Hang on people for it's going to be a hell of s ride....
