NO... And Then Some
Saturday, January 23, 2010 at 9:57AM (FLP Opinion by JAR) - One of the recurring themes from the Left is that the GOP is the “Party of No”. Like many rallying cries of the Left, it fits the criteria of being mindlessly simple and devoid of substance. After all, it must register with the cultivated masses of loyal Democrats cleansed through the media and our education system of any critical thinking skills.
The strategy of hurling this perceived criticism at philosophical opponents can be relatively effective, if for no other reason than to be so bereft of meaning that it causes those on the other end of a debate to pause.
Any consideration of the deeper meaning of this allegation leads me to parenting. Let's face it, the most important word a parent will utter to a child is the word NO. As the child tries to put the car keys in the electric socket - "NO!" As the child tries to put their hand on a hot stove burner - "NO!" As the child tries to pass a 2,000 page monstrosity of a health care bill - "NO!!!"
Liberals don't like being told no, and when they are they generally kick and scream like the petulant child who has just been told the same. But if left unchecked, the damage either can do is immense, whether it be spending us into oblivion or crawling into a busy street.
Unfortunately, liberals sometimes do get their way. An example of that is our fine Safe School Czar (Kevin Jennings) who founded an organization that advocated teaching fisting to 14 year olds. That's right, he's our Safe Schools Czar. Nice work Libs!
Sometimes the answer isn’t no, it’s H*LL NO! That’s the only reasonable response to the policies and legislation being pushed by this twisted Congress and President.

You're right, these leftist idiots need to hear the word no and frequently. We'd be the Soviet Union if they got everything they wanted.
Very well said. The comparison of liberals to petulent children is perfect.
When the liberals and the Obama media was pinning the PARTY Of NO on the Republican 's,
they somehow belived for sure that they put the Wrestler in the driver's seat for a sure victory..
It to turned out to be another failed attempt to pass their obnoxious gas...
The Party of No, turned out to be, the Party of Know.......
One would think that being told no often enough would maybe make them rethink their agenda, instead it seems to have stiffened their resolve to go through with this health care plan. It also hasn't been just the GOP that have said no, it has also been the American people that have, but we have just been fooled into not knowing how great this plan is for us.
