Democrats Might Have A Problem
Saturday, January 2, 2010 at 11:19PM (FLP Opinion) - Looks like taxing the daylights out of people might hurt Democrats sooner than we thought. Based on the final pre-count estimate just released by the Census Bureau, Democrats are going to be losing Congressional seats in several states that have been reliably blue for decades. Conversely, Republicans are picking up seats in states that have been reliably red.
What a surprise, people are leaving Democratically governed states with higher tax rates for Republican controlled states with lower tax rates. Duh.
Here's the detail:
Texas (3), Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Nevada, South Carolina, Utah and Washington are all gaining seats, but only Washington falls reliably in the Democrat column.
- Ohio (2), Illinois, Iowa, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania are all losing seats, but only Louisiana is reliably Republican.
- For the first time since 1920, California is not expected to add a Congressional seat - a big win for Republicans.
On top of the absurd overreaching by Democrats in 2009, these Census numbers provide more evidence of why 2012 could be a banner year for Republicans.
That being said, there is a long way to go.

How about that?? This will start the Libs rattling the Acorn trees...Its time to hit the graveyards to start registering new democrat voters...The Acorn printing press is fired up and running at full speed.... Now we know for sure why Obama wanted the Census bureau under his administration,
Seems to have backfired on him..
I'd say it did Dawg. The mainstream media has been lamenting for years that Republicans will eventually be put out of business by Democrats due to demographic changes in the country. I guess they had the wrong party, huh?
Couldn't happen to a bigger bunch of lying, sacks of dog crap. Democrats are worse than awful.
I'll believe it when I see. This sounds too good to be true, but I guess with all the Mexicans going home, the tide as turned in our favor.
