Brown Surging In Massachusetts Senate Race

Scott Brown (R), left & Martha Coakley (D), rightBy electing Republican Scott Brown to the United States Senate next week, the people of Massachusetts have the opportunity to save the Republic as we know it.

The election of Brown would eliminate the veto-proof majority that the Democrats currently enjoy and virtually assure the downfall of a health care bill that most agree would increase costs and decrease care for all but a handful of Americans.

In a poll released by Rasmussen Reports late today, Brown has pulled within two points of his Democrat Challenger Martha Coakley. To put this in perspective, last week he was down nine points, and two months ago he as down well over 20 points. In addition to the surging poll numbers, Brown has raised more than $1.3M in the last 24 hours.

There is no state bluer than Massachusetts, however, even there health care reform legislation is unpopular. According to a recent survey, 41% were for and 47% were against the legislation. Is that enough to swing the election to a Republican?

Considering turn-out projections that favor the GOP and the strong distaste that many have for the perceived overreaching of the Democratic Congress, it does give cause for hope.

Krauthammer suggested Brown may be peaking to soon tonight and that the Democrats are now marshaling forces. Not suggesting you are wrong, but it's no lay up.

Coakley is a typical MA politician and will probably win, but the margins of victory are being sliced dramatically for these libs. I hope Brown wins, but it's a lot to ask in this state.

Terrible weather on election day would probably favor Brown over Coakley. Lets pray for a major blizzard.

Of course, if the election is even somewhat close there will be endless delay tactics unless/until Coakley ends up on top.

You're no doubt right Bruce. These dirtballs will stop at nothing to maintain there power and they will do it with the help of the mainstream media.

I have a feeling he will win, and the left's tricks won't work twice!

I have no doubt that if this election is even close, that state can and will make sure that Coakley wins, the D-bags in Mass are as bad as those in Chicago. BTW has anyone seen the implosion going on in the Coakley camp, she rips Brown for standing in the cold outside Fenway to talk to average voters, then says that there are no terrorists in Afghanistan in the debate, misspells Massachusetts in an ad, now her aide knocks down a reporter and she blames it on GOP stlkers and says she wasn't there even though the video had already been posted online. Thank God I moved out of that state.
