Liberals Rush To The Aid Of Harry Reid

(FLP Opinion) - I wanted to take a moment to give my thoughts on the Harry Reid firestorm that erupted over the weekend. If you haven't heard, Reid was quoted in the just released book Game Change as saying that Obama would win over John McCain because he is "light-skinned" and "had no Negro dialect."
You would think this remark would be met with anger by a media so sensitive to racial issues, but you would be wrong. The broadcast news shows (FNC aside) have circled wagons and are trotting out every left-wing African-American politician and journalist they can find to excuse his remarks.
Why all the fuss for a guy who is all but certain to lose his Senate seat come this Novemer?
Health Care.
If Harry Reid is forced to resign his post as the Senate Majority Leader, it throws a big wrench in the Democrats relentless march toward destroying the greatest health care system on the planet. Distractions like this are the last thing they want, so Democrats are working hard to neutralize the impact of this remark with an obvious assist from their lackeys in the press.
Too bad Trent Lott (R-MS) didn't have a D next to his name. It would have likely been a very different outcome for him.

Harry Reid is a typical Democrat moron who is propped up by the press and made to be more than he is. It does get old.
Thank goodness the gov in Nevada is a republican it spares us from seeing them pull out the old standby of resigning to give their party a chance to put in their own stooge for name recognition. My prediction is that we will be seeing a lot of that this year.
