Demographic Polling Disconcerting For Obama

Barrack Obama has lost significant support in his first year in office. While it's not unusual for Presidents to shed support during their first year, Obama has shed that support at a more advanced pace and across virtually every demographic group - save blacks.

In reviewing the polling data the weakness is widespread, but a few areas of standout:

  • Support amongst all adults has fallen 26%
  • Support amongst whites has fallen 36%
  • Support amongst independents and the married has fallen 30%
  • Support amongst moderates has fallen 25%
  • Support amongst college grads has fallen 29%

The full Gallup analysis is below and it's ugly for Obama.

This is guy is definitely dropping like a rock, I just hope it continues. It's amazing how much support he has lost across the board - blacks aside.

This is crazy. It seems like a few months ago the guy was still riding high. This has to be an historic fall.

This will not cease. It is only the beginning. When you get into the pockets and homes of Americans, you become quickly unwelcome. This guy will be at Bush numbers before long.

This is what happens when you push the radical agenda he has pushed. Imagine where his numbers would be if the MSM treated him like they did George Bush. This guy would have approval numbers in the low teens.

President Obama has continuially showed courage and leadership by pushing forward on the difficult and sometimes divisive cornerstone issues of our time. A dip in popularity is to be expected when the honeymoon wears off for any new president, especially one who inherited such a mess and is taking on such an ambitious agenda for social change. Wait until he passes healthcare and his economic recovery kicks in, not to mention saving the planet with his green initiatives. He'll be a shoo in for a second term.

KO, I've long known you were an abuser of crack rock, but you have proven that you're a chronic abuser. Anyone who would make the statement you should made, is not fit to be part of the process.
