Crazy People Live In Detroit

Close up view of Detroit apartment building where people still live(FLP Opinion) - Upon seeing the Nazi death camps, General Dwight Eisenhower became so enraged that that he ordered the local German townspeople to come to the camp and face what they had done. On a similar note, every liberal in America should be forced to visit Detroit and see first hand what their twisted ideology hath wrought.

After five decades of continuous Democrat rule, Detroit is literally a third world city. It's a disaster that every liberal in America should be forced to acknowledge so they can no longer pass blame or deny responsibility for the outcome of their policies.

Detroit is a classic example of liberal policy and rule. The people are largely dependent on government for their needs and often do not have the education or professional skills to improve their lot. Hence the massively long lines of people waiting to get their "Obama Money" earlier this year.

However, even after years of staggeringly high unemployment, thousands and thousands of foreclosed homes and blocks of rubble where people once lived, Detroit continues to elect Democrats. Dave Bing, the former Detroit Piston, is the latest Democrat elected to fix the broken twisted mess that was once a great American beacon. But he brings the same big government liberal policies as his predecessors, so there is little cause for optimism.

Insanity is defined as doing the same thing over and over again with the expectation of a different outcome.

Based on that, the people of Detroit are clearly insane.

Good points all. I used to live in Detroit and it was a disgrace then, now it is a complete disaster. Things will only get worse - those people will never elect a conservative who would actually clean the place up.

You could add about 20 other cities to the list that Democrats have destroyed. This is just the worst case.

You can take medication for being insane, you can't fix stupid, "the liberal Democrat' feel
good policies and their entitlement programs goes from one generation to the next until
nothing is left..America, can you see our destiny?????

I'd like to see this on Google Earth, but without an address there's little chance this small town girl will be able to spot it in the immensity of Detroit. However, I did encounter numerous industrial sites with obvious environmental contamination. One wonders how the ruling Democrats could have failed to notice highly visibile damage to the environment.

This photo and essay should be on every front page in America. This is our future if we don't defeat the collectivist thieves in every arena. I would like to ask everyone who views this post to send it to ten people. Spread the Truth.

Cindy, as an FYI, I switched photos because the original shot I posted turned out to be of the Bronx, though it was found under a "Detroit blight" search on Google. The new photo is all Detroit.

Raoul, thanks for the kind words. I agree that more people need to understand what liberalism has already done to the country, or it will be too late. Time is running out with the scoundrels now living in the hen house.

I'm from the Detroit area and believe me, it's way worse than this. If it was not for the somewhat normal suburbs, Detroit and the inner suburbs would resemble Baghdad. Channel 62 used to broadcast shows from there. With our current national government, this scene may be coming to a city near you.

I worked in medical sales and had to call on facilities in the worst parts of Detroit. The devastation and despair were overwhelming. When you have an elite political culture whose power hinges on the creation and expansion of a dependent class of people, Detroit is the outcome.

Well said Herb.
