Cletus From Simpsons In Line For New Ambassador Post To South

Barrack Obama, apparently weary of his poor poll numbers in the South, is said to be considering slack-jawed yokel Cletus for the newly created post of Ambassador to the South.
It is unclear how this ambassadorship would work since Cletus is a cartoon character, but insiders say Obama is convinced that he is best for the job because Southerners "need someone they can relate to."
Opposition to Cletus is building in some circles after a recent episode showed his cartoon dwelling had numerous environmental hazards on the exterior premises, including old refrigerators, washing machines, cars, toilets, tires and an outhouse (to name just a few).
"It's outrageous that our President would consider such a disgraceful steward of the environment for such a lofty and important post," said Tim Jones of Environment Now. "We stand firmly against him."
An Obama administration official, speaking off the record said, "we like him - he's one of them."
Following is a clip of the would be Ambassador in a recent episode of The Simpsons.

That is freaking great. That's no doubt how the Obama administration thinks of the South.
I'll take Cletus over the imbecile in the White House any day.
I like that song in the video. If Cletus were President, you could replace Hail to the Chief with Slack-Jawed Yokel. That would really impress those "Southerners".
Anyone know a good dentist? Cletus?
Dead on. Keep this coming.
I'd say the only dentist Cletus ever saw was a crowbar and a pair of pliers.
I like his old lady - Brandine. She knows her fashion.
The last Simpsons episode had Cletus in it and was one of the funniest I've ever seen. The Simpsons get stranded at the Cletus "estate" and Bart is board so he asks the Cletus kids if they have any video games. They say, "no, but we got these here boom potaters that ma'ma brought back from Iraq." They hold up a box that says grenades on it.
