FL Pundit Person Of The Year - Nominee Four

Since Time Magazine can't make a decent selection, I've decided to create the first annual FL Pundit Person of the Year Award. Over the next five days, I will post one nominee each day and announce the FLPPOTY on December 31st.

The selection criteria is based on positively impacting the conservative cause or simply amusing me by insulting the liberal establishment.

Nominee Four:  Mike Pence - Congressman (R-IN)

A lawyer and former talk radio host who was elected to Congress in 2000, he describes himself as a Christian first, conservative second and Republican third. He has frequently called for a "return to the values" of the 1994 Republican Revolution. Just 50, a future presidential bid is a near certainty for this articulate, forceful Indiana congressman regarded on both sides of the aisle as a rising star. Pence is currently the Republican Conference Chairman - the 3rd ranking position in House.

Pence was front and center in 2009 pushing to defeat Cap & Trade and then Health Care. He gave a number of outstanding speeches and interviews during the year to rally support for the conservative cause, including participation in numerous Tea Party events.

For all of this, Mike Pence is a FLPPOTY nominee.

Mike Pence is a great man. I hope he runs in 2012! Good choice.

Love Mike Pence. Not sure he is the top choice, but he's going to be a factor nationally before it's all said and done.

I know Mike Pence. Mike Pence is a friend of mine. One thing Mike Pence has going for him is he's not me.
