Health Care Bill = Huge Gains For Republicans

Princess Pelosi at Communist Party event in May(FLP Opinion) - It is a bitter pill to swallow, but the fact is if a Health Care bill is signed into law by Barrack Obama, it will lead to enormous gains for Republicans in 2010 - assuming no 3rd Party arises.

Unfortunately, the gains will come at a terrible cost and not in large enough numbers to overturn this debacle. In fact, Republicans will need massive majorities in both the House and Senate to turn this legislation back. On top of that, they will need to take back the White House in 2012 to ensure they have a President willing to sign the legislation.

This will not be easy to achieve, especially with a mainstream media that loves Democrats and despises Republicans.

The other issue at play here are moderate Democrats. They have been forced to walk the plank in 2009 on a number of issues beyond Health Care, and they're not at all happy about it. Many will be sent packing in 2010, however, those who aren't may ponder where best their future lies. In a party run by far-left kooks that has lost favor with middle-America, or in a party that is now re-embracing its conservative values.

In light of this, it would not be surprising to see Congressional Republicans pick up several additional seats in the next few years from Democrats migrating to the GOP. It happened during the Republican Revolution in the mid-90's, and the way public sentiment is turning against Democrats, we may be primed to see it happen again.

As bad as it is now, there is still reason for hope.

I think we could see Republicans take back both the House and Senate in 2010. It will be very difficult, but there is tremendous anger at Democrats and it will be realized at the polls. They will pay for what they have done.

I guess this is one of those silver lining deals. I'm not sure how silver it will be if this legislation can't be overturned.

This group will go down as the most despised in the history of our country. They are highjacking the country and forcing unpopular programs that Americans don't want down our throats. They will freaking pay!

The Republican party is going to have to go back to their conservative roots. If not, they will lose.
Many Republican Senators and Representatives say they are conservative but have moved to the center and become moderates. This will never work. Those Bluedog Democrats can be beaten. They are not conservative or moderate. They sold out to the Liberals. Landrieu from
Louisiana and Nelson from Nebraska. The old saying is: "Everyone has a price and they will yield and will sell out and they did."

RIP USA. We had the best thing going, but those brilliant elites had to fix everything because they knew what was better for us. And we let it happen.

Amen Herb. It's pathetic that a group (far-left liberals) that probably totals less than 10% of our population was able to ram it down the majorities throat.

I certainly blame the scumbag Democrats who voted for this disaster, but I put most of the blame on a mainstream media that acts as a public relations firm for the Democrats. Without them running interference on this, and every other piece of whacko liberal legislation, none of it would pass. And none of them would be elected on a national basis.

If this country falls, I believe historians will one day place significant blame on a biased, left-wing media. It has created conditions that are virtually unsustainable for liberty and freedom.

It all started in 2006 when the Dems got control of the House and Senate. It has been all downhill from there.

That would be the understatement of the year Mike. They've been handing it to us ever since. But the worm will soon turn.
