It Could Be So Much Worse

(FLP Opinion) - Barrack Obama has had a very bad first year. Shockingly bad.
In fact, I doubt any President before burned through as much good will in four years as Obama did in one. And while he continues to be a hero to the non-producing class, taxpayers are turning against him in droves.
What makes this particularly bad for Obama is that the vast majority of these people aren't coming back. Many feel deceived, even violated, by a moderately toned campaign that morphed into brass tacks, socialist governance.
They no longer trust him, much less like him.
They see their country drowning in debt and a leader spending countless trillions to weigh it down even further. You may not have liked Clinton, but you probably didn't question his allegiance to the country. Obama? Different story, huh?
Obama has so tainted the political well that his re-election seems nearly impossible to fathom at this point, but it is certainly not impossible. He still owns the mainstream media, capable of making roses out of horse dung at a moments notice.
However, next time he will face a rejuvenated conservative juggernaut that is rising as fast as he is falling. Americans are re-embracing their roots and they aren't far-left wacko - they're middle-America conservative.
Upon attacking Pearl Harbor, Japanese Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto was quoted as saying, "I fear all we have done is awaken a sleeping giant and filled him with a terrible resolve."
Like the Japanese before, Democrats will soon pay an enormous political price for their transgressions against the American public.
It can't come soon enough.

Outstanding opinion piece Pundit. Totally agree with the assessment.
Love it guy! On the freaking money.
Thanks for the positive comments. They're much appreciated.
Well stated Pundit! You just said what a lot of us think.
It's going to get much worse for Obama and like you said, it won't be getting any better. He's lost the trust of the public.
But is it really the President, or is it a Congress where most a bought and paid for.?
Congress gave our money to the banks. Congress keeps funding illegal and illogical wars, Congress keeps avoiding sending all illegals home as fast as is prudent. Congress keeps doing everything possible to destroy our educational system. Congress keeps a false war on terror and a war on drugs going for no reason except to spend money. Congress keeps funding military bases all over the world for no reason at all.
I am not convinced the President is the problem as much as the systems behind the administration and Congress. The new health plan was not written in a month - someone had to have been working on it for years - same thing for the infamous Patriot Act or whatever they managed to mislabel it.
I, personally, think that the concept of the Federal Reserve Board is a primary reason our country is failing. No one had money to lend, including the Chinese, we printed the money gave it to the feds and now we have to pay it back with interest - all the while giving the money to banks rather than taking over loans that were in default, lowering the interest to something reasonable and solving the real economic problems of the people.
Congress makes decisions based on one, and only one, premise - will it help get them back in office.
You make very valid points about Congress Buster. Trust me, in no way do I absolve them, but Obama is the one who is viewed by most as driving the train. He made a lot promises that he didn't keep and he will be held accountable, as will the Democrat Congress. One is as guilty as the other, but my opinion piece was focused on Obama.
CWC,
Thanks for the response. I ask you to share your discernment on a question I do not have the answer to.
Obama wanted to get a better deal for student loans, something I strongly supported, but my Congresswoman voted against it.
Obama said he wanted change but then put the same financial team in place that got us into the mess we are in.
I am wondering if there are powers that simply explain how things are going to be once one becomes President?
I have read suggestions that President Kennedy was killed because he was about to sign a document that eliminated the Federal Reserve. I obviously have no knowledge as to any facts but reading the account did make me think.
I also think it may not be a coincidence that his bother was also killed. Two random acts, well possibly, but possibly related.
Do you feel Obama is getting to do what he really thinks should be done, does he really agree with all the positions that he is taking, or does he simply understand that change is going to be more gradual than he would like, that he can not stop the military industrial complex President Eisenhower warned against, and that he can not even give students a reduced interest rate on their loans because if he did the banks would not make as much money?
I sometimes wonder that his desire to make government more "transparent' may be the only way he has to show us how we are being had.
Buster, I have long believed that there are powers behind the scenes much greater than we know. I think in the case of Democrats, communist billionaire George Soros pays for and pulls most of the strings. I think he probably handpicked Obama and helped navigate the way to the presidency.
With regard to student loans or other legislative items, there are certainly constituencies than may stand against legislative items for unforeseen reasons. I'm not up-to-speed on the student loan issue, but I think this administration has been anything but transparent. It was a typical Democrat election ploy - tell that what they want to hear and then do what you want. When you have the power of the mainstream media behind you, there is a lot you can get away with.
Hope that helps. Thanks for checking in.
"It can't come soon enough." Amen, Amen, Amen!!!
Let us hope that it comes BIG ENOUGH that the elites in DC NEVER EVER FORGET IT.
Your reference to the Pearl Harbor comment was spot on. Now if only the "loyal opposition" will follow through and field deserving candidates in 2010 and 2012. We need to have virtual landsides in both years to turn around the direction of the country.
You're exactly right Bruce. Most folks think that simply turning the House and Senate over will change things. It will to a small extent, but we need huge majorities (like Dems have now) to overturn much of what they have set in motion. The Dems have taken a calculated risk that they will lose some seats, but not enough for Republicans to overturn their socialist legislation.
Time will tell, but it will not be easy for Republicans to create those types of majorities.
I would not blame too bad...mistake is that people expected him as a hero...is only a man who depends on others
there are only heroes in films...have patience with him...can and will succeed to the proposed
