Washington D.C. Is A Boom Town Under Obama
Monday, December 14, 2009 at 11:03AM (FLP Opinion) - It's not all gloom and doom for American workers under the Obama Administration. In fact, if you're a government worker, happy days are here again according to USA Today!
- Federal employees making more than $100,000 jumped from 14% to 19% in the last 18 months.
- Number of Department of Transportation employees making $170,000 18 month ago? 1; Number making $170,000 today? 1,600+.
- In the last 18 months, the private sector shed 7.3 million jobs; the ranks of the federal government grew 9.8%.

These numbers would be head-turning at anytime, but during a recession, they are staggering. The nation is broke and the Obama administration is throwing around enormous pay increases.
Think this story might incense most Americans? Huh-uh.
Unfortunately, many will never hear it because the mainstream media doesn't seem to be interested in sharing this one with the public.
Let's face it, having a (D) next to your name does have its advantages.

I know this is starting to sound like a cliche, but if Bush was still president, the MSM would be all over this story. It's amazing how they actually refuse to cover stories like this.
I'm working on a story that ponders the following: What if the media had a conservative bias? With our significant advantage in numbers (2 to 1 - conservatives to liberals), Democrats would rarely be elected to office outside of the core liberal bastions. That, and our country would be governed from a much more conservative perspective.
Nothing but good old fashioned graft and corruption. Pubic service my a$$. How about more pay, earlier retirement, easy work, and zero accountability. What lever do you think those people pull at the polls?
